Dr. Femi Johnson is a Non-Executive Director at Homebase Mortgage Bank, Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company Plc. (NMRC) and 5 other institutions in the financial sector. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program, and he holds a DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) degree from the Cranfield University, United Kingdom in Economics and Finance. He also holds an MBA degree from the Lagos Business School. He is a Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a Fellow (FCTI) of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), a Fellow (FICA) of the Institute of Credit Administration, an Honorary Senior Chartered Banker (HCIB) of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), and an Associate of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, (NYSSCPA).
He started his banking career in 1992 at Guaranty Trust Bank Plc. and thereafter moved to the mortgage banking and housing finance sector as the pioneer Chief Executive Officer of Guardian Express Mortgage Bank in April 2004. He has attended several training courses including courses at the Cranfield University, INSEAD University, IESE Business School of the University of Navarra Spain, Shanghai Jiao Tong University China, National University of Singapore, Wharton School University of Pennsylvania, Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation, Canada, among others.
